So I am pretty organized. At least I would like to think I am. Although since moving to Arizona I feel like I have not been organized at all.
Starting a business is hard enough, it’s even harder when I can’t get organized. I came across a piece of software today that seems like it will really help. Not only can I organize my business projects, I can even organize Anastasia’s chores and when she does them.
It was originally produced for programmers to organize their program creation tasks. I downloaded it today and I am so happy with it that I decided to share with you about it.
The program is called ToDoList 5.6. It is free. Here is the page for it: ToDoList 5.6
A new friend and quickly becoming a very close one has a blog and posted something very interesting to me today. The post is titled “On Growing Up…..Does Anyone?” As read about her father, cowboys and indians and the subject of growing up I started to think of my past and the instances in my life that stick out to me.
I thought about Anastasia and her growing up and what she would remember about me. I actually feel confident that Anastasia will remember me as the immature video game playing harley riding cool dad that I would hope she would remember me as. Her and I have so much fun together. And with her getting older is only opening opportunities for us to share more fun together.
I suddenly am looking forward to the future again. :)
Thank you Annie.

Today my daughter asked if she could ride her bike outside. “Of course!” I told her. It was a beautiful day and my car now sits in the driveway because my new bike is too big to site next to the car in the garage.
She opened the garage door, brought her bike outside then closed the garage door so she could go out the front door and then ride her bike. When she came in I asked if had any issues getting her bike out. She stuttered a little although answered no.
I thought, maybe a little more digging was in order. I asked if she hit my bike at all. She started to tell this story about how she was able to pull her bike out between my motorcycle and the wall and how she didn’t hit my motorcycle at all though.
Now I knew she was lying. Even my sister looked at me weird. We both knew.
So I went downstairs into the garage and I asked her if she hit my bike or she needed to rub up against it to get her bike out. After some prodding she told me yes that she did, then told me no she didn’t and that she just tld me that because that is what I wanted to hear.
Then, a few lies later and some attitude, I told her to go to her room and she was not going outside. I am of course giving the watered down version here. She had an attitude on her, WOW, I was frustrated to say the least.
After a while of her in her room, I told her why I was so upset and that all she needs to do is tell me the truth, no matter what it will always be better than lying.
Then she told me she rub up against my motorcycle with her pants and that she didn’t want to tell me because she knew she would get in trouble. I asked her, for what? For rubbing her pants up against one of my saddlebags that would not get a mark on them by her pants????
She said yes. Then I pointed out to her how much more trouble she got into now that she lied. If she told me the truth from the beginning she would have been outside playing.
Ugh…
So I decided I needed a new Harley after my Sportster just sat in the garage and I wasn’t riding it. I needed something larger. Something that would take Anastasia and I to places we haven’t thought of yet in style, comfort and most importantly safety.
Now, I know that a motorcycle is not the safest mode of transportation, although I like riding and Anastasia loves going with me. And since I am a big boy, a Sportster just didn’t support everything I wanted to do.
So I bought a new 2009 Harley Davidson (is there any other brand of motorcycle?) Road King. It is black, of course. and beautiful! And most importantly, with standard air shocks I can put two of me on the bike and the ride would still be sweet! Here are the pictures I took during Anastasia’s and my ride today.

Plenty more to come, I’m sure of it. :)
Today I got an email from Anastasia’s teacher. I emailed her a few days ago asking how my daughter was doing because I wanted to make sure Anastasia was working and not goofing off in school like she was before the Christmas break. To my surprise her teacher told me she was doing very well and she was only missing one assignment.
YAY!
I told Anastasia her teacher told me she was doing a great job and that I was very proud of her! :)
