Here are the pics I promised you.
The concert was very short. They seperated the band performances by grade. Each grade got to play two very short songs. All in all, it was nice to see Anastasia involved and playing the drums like she wanted to.

Tonight is Anastasia’s big drum debut! She is playing the snare drum in the band tonight at her school concert.
Very proud!
Pictures to follow.
Every morning I wake up my daughter between 6am and 6:30am. I take her to school early so she can do band practice before school starts. We are supposed to be out of the house by 7:20 or so because her band practice starts at 7:30. There is another session she goes to that starts at 8, so it is not that important we get her there at 7:30 sharp.
Yesterday morning she didn’t come down until about 7:55am. That was after me yelling up the stairs a few times for her to get moving.
She takes a shower every morning, she would rather not, although we tried the shower at night deal and she would practically go to school sleeping everyday. The showers, at the very least, wake her up.
I told her yesterday that she needed to be down every morning at 7:15 or else she would be grounded that night. I honestly thought she would just make it down by 7:15, because she is typically goofing off and that is why she runs late.
Today she didn’t come downstairs until about 7:35.
I told her she was grounded for 20 minutes tonight. And I will tell her when the 20 minutes start. I needed to be somewhat stern because she really needs to get moving in the morning and with about an hour to get ready, for a 10 year old, shouldn’t be asking for that much.
I told her tomorrow I will wake her up 20 minutes earlier so she has that extra time to make it down by 7:15.
I hope she makes it. I really don’t like grounding her over something so silly.
Anastasia came home last night from school and asked me if she could join band, reading club, art club and have a math tutor in the morning and once a week in the afternoons.
For the record she just got her a report card. She is on the honor roll. :) So when she asked me to join all these things, I just stood there with an overwhelming sense of pride.
I understand art club. She is an artist, just like her dad. ;) She has been getting art books longer than I can remember. And she can draw almost anything she can imagine.
Band I get as well, she is creative, artistically and musically as well.
Reading club her teacher suggested because if she has a bad subject it would be reading. She is a slow reader and does not comprehend the it all the first time, again, just like I was.
The math tutor though, that is the one that I was so proud of her about. She has always been lagging in math, so for her to take the initiative to take advantage of the schools provided tutor is just genius.
That’s MY little girl! :D
