On Saturday I agreed to help my niece with a Social Studies project she is working on. She wants to log her progress on a website and who better to ask then her Uncle Auggie. :)
Anastasia and I are getting ready to leave the house when she pops the question, whining sounds and all, “Can I PLeEeEeEeEeEasE stay the night at my cousins house?!?” I thought for a second and called up my older sister to see what she thought. She didn’t have an issue with it, so Anastasia was off, packing for the night.
We left the house and traveled the 45 minutes it takes to get there. I help my niece build a website for her project and taught her how to update. Then I sympathized with brother (in-law) about not being able to go on a ride with him on Sunday. (I need to take my Harley in for service, something wrong with the fuel pump, I think.)
Then I left and headed home. The night was uneventful. I played video games and hung out with my little sister and her husband. I am not into going out and partying or going to bars or anything like that. I have made my daughter my life, so it’s not like I have many friends.
On Sunday I left in time to by at my older sister’s house by 11:00am. I got there around 11:15 after dodging some very stealthy police traps. :) My brother (in-law) was still there, now complaining about how the ride he wanted to go on changed and now he was available to just go out on a ride with me. I really need to make an appointment to get my bike fixed. And Anastasia, with bags under her 10 year old eyes is packed and ready to go.
We talked most of the way home. She told me about her and her cousin played truth or dare. and were up until 12:30am. I was happy she had so much fun with her cousin. They get along well and the obviously had a good time if they were up that late.
So Sunday was good, except for Anastasia being whiny and tired. I loved it though, cause every time she started whining about something I would tell her how tired she was and she MUST need a nap. For some reason she stopped whining right away.
She is at school now, and like usual, I miss her and hope she is having a good day.
